[Ethan] has held that because GC prohibits the advocacy of lawbreaking ( in one's jurisdiction at present ) that we cannot know how many posters are NOT law abiding. He then presumes that its a large number even of those here arguing to the contrary.

Without defining "large number" (under the circumstances -- the risk of serious iatrogenic (at least) harm to many girls -- more than 10% would be a "large number"), I did wonder about that in a past post. But it was based in large part on the content of some legal posts and what posts are not made, not just a hypothetical possibility. But I withdrew the assertion of my suspicion, as you may recall.

I tend to agree that it is unknowable. I haven't seen what opinions on the subject get posted on "dark net" sites where people do feel free to say illegal things. It might be an interesting study.

My complaint is that Dissident's assertion is made with unwarranted confidence: most pro-choicers adhere very strictly to the laws despite how we feel about them out of principle, because we believe it's very unwise for all concerned on many levels to brazenly violate these laws.

If there was a preamble like "As best we can determine from posts on their websites..." I'd see it. And I realize it's hard for *any* group in society to prove they don't engage in sexual activity with children on the sly, but that still doesn't warrant making statements with unwarranted confidence.
