Situational depression is just a part of living.

By definition clinical depression is what is present when the emotion occurs without a cause.

But we've gotten used to medicating feelings away.

There will be times where situational depression lingers for life. The widow should not be expected to get over it to the point where there is no longer pain associated with her loss.
