If I say that many pedophiles do not abuse children, that's a radical step. If I go further and say teleios abuse kids at the same rate as pedos, it sounds ridiculous, because it is.
There are many forms of child abuse, and sexual abuse is actually the least common form of child abuse. Even within sexual abuse specifically, I've seen reliable figures from Agent Lanning of the FBI amongst others that show that situational offenders are far more prevalent than people who meet the clinical definition of pedophilia. So, yes, I would say at the very least that the rate is similar, and as a matter of fact I'd say that if anything, it would be skewed more in the opposite direction.
