Thanks, loves_sonnets, that is good advice about courage. I think I should definitely continue taking steps forward, but perhaps smaller steps than inviting her over out of the blue would appear to be.

I think a big part of it for me is that I simply don't have a great relationship with this girl's parents... If I was much more familiar with them on a friendship level (as opposed to not really knowing them at all on that level) then I think I'd feel much more comfortable with taking real steps forward.

But the way things are now, I think it only makes sense to advance the relationship slowly and naturally between my LGF and I, and hope for the best.
