Unless BK has saved every one of his posts and the responses or unless he has some special magic to make the search function at GC work, I don't see how he can possibly 'prove' his statements.

In a way, Your (Dissident's) responses here prove BK's point. Even if BK's 'facts' are off a little, it is important that he has that take away. As I recall, BK's posting on GC and his 'treatment' by much of the board occurred many months (or even a year) ago. Does he really now need to dig all of that up to express his feelings on this?

From my old man feeble memory, his statements are at least accurate enough to stand on their own and be discussed without challenge but Dissident, you must admit that anyone that challenges what you say will end up with a much longer post to read that basically says, prove it.

Regarding "support". Every time I have seen a post that asked for support, that poster was first reminded by the mods that this is NOT a support group. Following are often a couple of 'shut up you self hater' comments. I gave up thinking a person could get any kind of support or help at GC in my first few weeks here. That's okay with me, personally, as I have learned to appreciate the 'free for all' discussions and debates as long as they are within the stated rules. I don't expect a heavy handed moral editing by the mods. But ya gotta have a thick skin. Some of it is hurtful, whether intended or not. That, to me, is a shame as I wish we (girl and boy lovers) could be more polite to each other. It ain't easy being a boy/girl lover; it's nice to have a safe place to gather and 'talk'.

Dissident, you are a powerhouse of knowledge and inspiration here. You are often over my head and I don't understand everything you say and I don't need to. I ignore the political stuff but I 'eat up' the pro-choice resources you provide. I am admittedly pro-choice and pro-contact ultimately but please listen to BK. He has some valid points here.

I too hope he sticks around.
