Grooming........ what exactly is it?

I see grooming used a lot in articles about children being "sexually abused". Recently the article said "She used sex toys to groom the children"

The article was filled with editorialized words and had a clear bias. However when I look up grooming it is basically just a paedosexual being nice to a child. However the people who are defining say paedosexuals groom as a means to get children to lower their guard then they molest them. I have to question this. Since it usually implies that the sex is not desired nor enjoyed by the child. It implies that any paedosexual being nice is doing it just for sex and sees the child as nothing more than a vending machine, put in kindness and get sex. If my time here taught me anything it's that paedosexuals care for the kids they love much much more than that. If my time as a child and observing other children has taught me anything is that children desire pleasurable sexual contact and enjoy it.

So basically I came to the conclusion that in most of the cases grooming is just a way to demonize the kind paedosexual who loves kids and cares about them and that treats consent as tantamount. After all, most cases of "child sex abuse" are not invasive or forced, at least that is what I got from the research. So now people had to find away to explain why paedosexuals were nice sociable people that kids loved and why the kids would be sexual with them willingly. Grooming fit the bill.
