But you could evaluate without allowing your morality to cloud your reasoning, whether prohibition causes more evils than it prevents or stops.

And you could also evaluate without allowing your morality to cloud your reasoning, whether, even if immoral, what other people do is any of your business or not.



I feel that a lot of things which are generally accepted today in Western societies are fundamentally immoral. I don't have to support them.

Divorce. Adultery. Some drugs (not matching US legality lists). Some animal products.

But I am rational enough to see when prohibition causes more evils than it prevents. And when what immorality people are up to is none of my business.

That is not equal to supporting it.
