Really? So you put this down on your employee disclosure and happily share with your neighbours all and sundry that you are a paedophile? You use the words paedophile/paedophilia as self-identification in day to day life do you? Great, you explain that to Victoria Derbyshire or Stephen Nolan when half of Britain is shouting down a phone line at you and no-platforming you from every venue. Cloud-cuckoo-land. Toast.

Would it not be better to have something worth shouting from the rooftops than hiding in the sewers with all the rest of the underground toxins. Maybe you are happy for people to think of you as a child abuser, I am not. (I'm not saying they do either.)

The gay community went through an evolution which involved an important shift in language. It shook off the negative connotations of terms like sodomite homosexual and pouff. Now the term gay has universal affirmation and acceptance.. bland local authorities and corporations now fall over themselves to be all diversity, inclusive, and LGBT friendly... but it wasn't an easy battle, and we owe a lot to the likes of Harvey Milk, Peter Tatchell, April Ashley, and many many others.

Don't you have a passion for childlove to become a living breathing organism, a movement, a flourishing life in the real world? Because I assure you, as long as it remains in the shadows - there will never be liberation. Once upon a time, the Gay Liberation Front were seen as dangerous radicals, homosexuality was furtive, queer folk suffered in silence without any support mechanism or affirmation. Now, we have gay marriage. Gay folk are socially integrated, full contributing members of society, to the extent that a CONSERVATIVE government invites LGBT citizens into the most conservative and traditional of social institutions; marriage.

Community has a lot to gain, and our health and wellbeing has a lot to gain, from a new approach to how paedophilia is looked at. That comes firstly by abandoning toxic labels like paedophilia, and adopting better and more realistic pathways.

As long as the term paedophilia is retained girllove/childlove will be drowned out and viewed as negative dangerous and criminal - with nothing good to offer children or society. Nihilism.
