I won't blame you if you want to let go of the term "paedophilia'.
As for myself, I will continue using it, as I grew up thinking of it as more or less a term of distinction, even, dare I say it? Bohemianism?

But you are right that the use of this term has been horribly corrupted by the society at large. I certainly don't mind using "childlove" in its place (a more accurate qualifier for me specifically than "girllove") but I am also holding on to "paedophilia" and am not willing to let it go.

Our biggest problem to rectify is indeed misinformation.
I too see our kind of love as a positive and beautiful thing.
