Many are aware but just don't care, some who care are unaware.

Just as some socialists understand their game and know they cannot be too exploitative - although even many of these do not really understand just how much harm they are doing to their host, and how much harm they are doing to themselves in the way of decreased opportunities by trying to bleed their host dry.

But just because pirates may be brighter that way, doesn't mean they gain much credit in my view. They may be parasites bright enough to consider the future, but they are still parasites impeding production rather than contributing to it. By comparison, many socialists are honestly attempting to produce value, even if they are not as good at doing so as they think they are. I will gladly welcome those socialists into my utopia if they have pretty daughters ... I just won't allow them to vote. ;-)

(If the pirates are bright enough and willing to learn a new, more productive trade - and most importantly, if they have pretty daughters - I might allow them in, too.)
