I wish all sides concerned would not seek to openly humiliate and punish those whom they consider unattractive for finding them attractive. And this lop-sidedness greatly favors women of all ages, defending them for mean-spirited, judgemental behavior against men that is (rightly) not tolerated quite so readily in reverse. Men are expected to be "tougher," as if we didn't have feelings, whereas society expects us to be hyper-sensitive to the feelings of women, as if their feelings were as brittle as glass.

I should point out that this is not an "anti-women" screed. It's instead an "anti-intolerance" and "anti-lopsided expectation of conduct" screed. If society continually gives one group of people unfettered license to be mean to other groups, is it any wonder that so many of them take advantage of this and use the less coddled group as fodder for their venting needs? All groups of people are human, and none are above the typical range of foibles that humans are subject to.
