I also do not agree with the banning of choice for that reason. But I do agree in the banning of parents forcing their kids to make the choice.

Well antis act in this way. As if banning marriage (and, in other countries, prostitution, and in yet other countries, KP) suddenly makes a girl's life perfect and wholly void of abuse.

Which is why it's important that we always oppose them, and never risk becoming them, something that the Virped too often lose sight of. And common sense should tell you that disallowing a girl from choosing prostitution in no way protects her from abuse, since the alternative of going without money leads to a truly bad situation that has no nuance whatsoever. Which is why it's important to exert reason and not think with our emotions.

I'm also surprised more than a little about the new developments on your thoughts. Because if you didn't mention the word "marriage" I'd have to make sure I wasn't reading myself on circumcision. :)

My disdain for monogamous marriage being an enforced norm in our culture is far from a new development in thinking on my part. It doesn't work for many, which is why it should be presented as one of many lifestyle choices, rather than promoted as the "preferred" standard for everyone.
