Back in the early days of GC, I had a website that argued how Church history supports GL, such as saints who married young and apocryphal Biblical texts for time frame references. For example, the Acts of Peter has a man wanting to marry Peter's 10 year old daughter after seeing her bathing. Also, I argue for the restoration of the pre-1917 Canon Law minimum age for marriage of 12 years old for girls, lowered from the current minimum age of 14 years old, given puberty now begins in the tween years. Given the hate out there for us, my faith helps me greatly.
Sincerely, Shaper of Worlds We are the music makers, And we are the dreamer of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams; World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems. --Arthur O'Shaughnessy |
