Well...

The concept of innocence never made sense to me, it's just a fancy word for ignorance. I prefer intelligent, thoughtful, open minded, open hearted, sensible, sensitive children; creative children, weird children, gender variant children, transgender children, especially children who are neurodivergent like myself. I prefer the children so intelligent they're like little adults, like I was when I was a child. I want to be, for them, the kind of adult I wanted in my life when I was that age. I want to help them, use my power as an adult and my understanding and memory of what it was like to be a kid so I can advocate for them, treat them like equals, get them what they need, including protecting them from bullies. I want to be in a relationship of mutual growth and assistance with them, a relationship where I can act as their confidant and their aide. I want a relationship with them where I'm something like a cross between a knight protecting their Lord or Lady, and the equal of that Lord or Lady.
