I think the term sexual orientation should be used strictly to refer to which gender one is attracted to.

The sexual interest of paedophiles is oriented towards...

[ ] Not Children

Pick only one.

The 'magic trick' is choosing to understand english, rather than imbuing it with sacred meaning without definition. A compass needle is oriented towards the magnetic north pole, not your dick, for instance... ;)
