The part about the dreadlocks lady pissed me off a little. It's pretty frustrating imagining myself as a male teacher feeling inhibited from engaging in the same type of fraternization with the children which my women coworkers were constantly getting away with. I wonder if she was a female pedo?

I think I'm neutral about the rowdy middle schoolers. If it was an all-girls school, I'd be smitten. Otherwise, I would've probably tried to make conversation with whatever kids I was standing next to. I'm still young enough that acting like a goofy manboy at home in the company of people who are roughly half my age is cute.

And if I were you, I would've stood BEHIND the group, scoped out the pretty girls and then positioned myself so that I could steal (respectful) looks on the bus and maybe even chat with 'em.
