As for Long Island, I actually just made up the location. But I will check into it.

Aside from the United States, what country borders Canada? Believe it or not, the answer is France.

There are two islands 18 km from the Island of Newfoundland. Once is Saint Pierre; the other is Miquelon. Both belong to France.

It is these two islands that gave me the idea of my previous post.
