I definitely think there's value in research with non-negative findings/conclusions, but I do think that today people aren't ready for it, anything like that is buried and forgotten under the tidal wave of research that conforms to the status quo. That's how to make a name for yourself in the field, like Dr. Finkelputz. As Eeyore mentioned, saying anything positive is a very efficient way to destroy your reputation. However, some non-negative research does exist and I hope grows - if anything, it might be a factor in beginning to turn the tide.
