The Warrior,

I disagree with the statement you made at the end of your post, "The bias in your study is that we're sick individuals that are on the verge of suicide and need help (brainwashing) at the soonest possible moment".

This is not a bias in our study or in our views. Some MAPs want therapy, some MAPs do not. As people who want to provide therapy to MAPs, those who want therapy for general mental health problems or problems specifically related to their minor-attraction (for example, coping with stigma and discrimination, understanding their attractions, living a life with minor attraction), it is important for us to do research on the needs of such clients.

From our perspective, and the rationale for asking these questions, is that it is a good idea to ask and get data ahead of time, instead of just setting up shop, offering services, and assuming we know all we need to know. This approach to doing research to inform clinical services is an ethical and responsible way of developing services.
