Again, what are you doing about the kids who die or are maimed in car accidents, circumcision, or drowning in pools and bathtubs? Or are you just a hypocrite?

I've come to oppose circumcision.

Everything we do has costs and benefits. Kids themselves, and adults on their behalf, think that auto travel, swimming, and bathing have benefits that justify the risks. If anything, kids downplay the risks more than adults. They don't think that allowing adult-child sex has benefits that justify the risks, given that you can't know in advance that some particular girl was really and truly interested and some man was angelic in intentions, self-control and perceptiveness.

Facing a trial (where they cannot refuse to testify) and separation from the partner ARE legal punishments.

It would take a strong girl to refuse to testify or refuse adult pressure, but in fact she would not be incarcerated long for failing to do so -- if at all. Months of incarceration would be an extraordinary case. It would also take a strong girl to resist the pressure of some kind, sweet-talking pedophile in the first place. Separation is an indirect consequence, not a legal punishment.
