the straw man of denying youths the right to vote

We've been over the whole consent and harm-trade-off issue many times, so I see no point in adding anything. You're still wrong... Maybe I should say... My arguments are completely persuasive, you know they are, and maintaining your view on the subject is just a lie -- a lie, I claim -- nay, even stronger, I KNOW! -- in order to avoid having to admit you are wrong and to maintain your status in this community. There, how's that?

On voting age, you somehow left out of your reply that I had proposed lowering the voting age to zero, and then you talk about how I want to deny kids the right to vote. Does not compute.

My purpose in saying nothing would happen is not to deny them the vote (I just said I wanted to give them the vote, right?). It is to suggest that there are other things to focus on if you want to improve their lives -- it's a battle with a low payoff if you win. I sketched out some of my ideas in another post earlier tonight.
