classic bait-and-switch

This is just a classic bait-and-switch.

Sell a new law for the claimed purpose of protecting children, then expand it to allow general control of sexuality, and eventually general tyranny.

Heck, what do you expect from a society that uses age of consent laws, originally established to protect small children from being punished for things they didn't fully understand, to require punishment of young adults for things that the law enforcers claim said young adults don't fully understand, because they don't fully understand them?

It would be lunacy if it was not obvious that the real purpose is tyranny.
