There are laws in Canada that make it illegal to walk around in public naked. Not sure why we put up with that, but we do.

However, if I am on my sailboat about 5 nmi from shore, and I have lots of sun protection on me, I walk about the decks totally naked. Is it illegal? Yes, it is.

Usually once or twice a summer, when I'm out alone and just rejoicing in the breeze, I see (via binoculars) another sailor and crew on their sailboat in the same condition as I am. They don't care. I don't care.

Should the government pirates approach, I go below and climb into my swimming pants so as to not get a "speeding ticket" for not wearing pants.

Obey the Eleventh Commandment.
