The illusion of privacy is quite dangerous

When all it is is an illusion - all GLers have something to hide, and I think that's true regardless of what they do or don't do online, or how they use their computers.

For example, realize how vulnerable Windows is (and GNU/Linux isn't) to viruses. If a hacker got into your computer and saw you using GC for example, what do you think they would do with that information? Probably nothing nice.

Stallman's website is a good start if you want to learn more:
https://stallman.org/microsoft.html
https://www.gnu.org/proprietary/malware-microsoft.html

There are endless articles online about these same issues.

It's sad when people don't care about their privacy and security. That line of thinking - privacy no longer exists, so "fuck it" - I think is dangerous and only serves to erode privacy in the future.
