Doesn't Toddling mean wobbling as they walk? That's the way I think of it.
So, twenty-one years to death? :) Toddling... encompasses the motion range. At one end, at around four months, it's trying to hold its head up, trying to roll over, etc. At the other end, around twelve to fifteen months give or take, it walks and stands with the assistance of holding on to something with its hands ("cruising"), and sometimes takes a few steps unaided and falls over ("toddling"). :) All of this is "the toddler period;" it's a single devoted process. So 4, 3, 2 year olds who can't walk yet are probably not considered developmentally normal. ~nods~ This is the part that one can usually explain to normies pretty well. Conversely, I have no idea how a species which does not take an interest in the life challenges of its friends survives (or if it should). One of these days, I want to remangle the thing... baby - 0-3m toddler - 4-16m preschooler - 2-6y ephebophilia - 7-13 old bags - 14-25 wtf - over 25 distinguished turtle elderly ...I'm borrowing the term "distinguished" from an unspecified former poster because, you know, they swung that way. Conversely... https://boston.thebasics.org/ ...I have no idea what these people are doing past 16 months, but do know that one shouldn't abandon people just because they became old, not-toddler-like preschoolers. |
