Yeah....condemning her. That accusation doesn't stick very well, and it sure doesn't put me on the defensive, because it's a ridiculous one. I was feeling sorry for someone who was raped on different occasions (actual rape, not rape based on age difference alone) by different people, and if you don't believe that has an effect on somebody's mental state, you'd be wrong.

In my world, death is not romantic. I know it definitely is in the world of some people. Don't presume you know my reason for mentioning terminal illness by the way. Legal suicide is an ongoing debate in my country when death is already imminent, and I've been sympathetic to it for that reason for many years.

Sorry, fellow. I just don't follow anymore the logic that someone under duress who proclaims they want to kill themselves should simply have the rest of society back off and "respect that decision." That becomes a slippery slope very quickly.

You've clearly been around the cesspools of the internet. Think of all the people who literally get off on goading young people into killing themselves when they sense they are already mentally fragile. There are actual "games" out there on the internets where young people are dared to do progressively more self-disrespecting things to themselves until they are eventually instructed to kill themselves.

I'm of the belief that if somebody wants to kill themselves badly enough, they are going to find a way regardless of others trying to help their suffering. It's a much further stretch to dictate that others should stop trying to help them.

Your snide tone that someone who is still seventeen already knows the many decades ahead of her will not get better belies the wisdom you ought to have by now at your own age, and I'm not swayed in the least from by assertion that she needed more love and help. Calling that concern condescension or disrespect is a reflection of your own shortcomings, not mine. Wanting to keep trying to give girls a fighting chance is indeed better than a checkout ticket and I stand by it.

Frankly, I think you should just go jump in a lake, if for nothing else than bringing this nic out for such a stupid reason as a defense of teen suicide. Not impressed.
