What kid would not want a cool bowl of ice cream or Popsicle on a hot summer day?

The most food the kids there got was at school lunches. I am certainly not a good cook, but the soups (and other ruination of foods) I made were loved by everyone who had suppers with me.

Finally, this was in a hot state in the United States, in a very, very poor neighborhood. I had quit my lucrative job and gave all my money away (very long story) and became homeless. I found this haven for homeless people and, skipping the welfare hoops that they had been (and were still) jumping through, went looking for a job. Because of my skills and abilities, the company I got hired with overlooked my lack of clear history because they desperately needed someone with a license. I had a license. I got paid a bit low for what I had been doing, but for the people who lived around me, I was a multi-billionaire.
