Grooming

"Grooming" is law enforcement slang that started during the 1980s "satanic panic" and had nothing to do with pedophilia per se. It is incorrectly used now to refer what used to be called "courting" or, at worst, "seduction".

The current hysteria against minor attraction is pretty much the same as the satanic panic, except with the occult bit removed to make it more believable. I lived through that before (not as a Satanist - I'm actually Catholic - but as a carny stage magician that some people thought was a Satanist) and I'm living through it again.
