So then, how would you come down on something like many forms of mental illness being a biologically inherited trait?

Let me put a girl lover spin on it for others. For instance, the (1995?) movie Angela more or less conveys to the viewer that Angela's biological mother had some serious legit mental illness, and we are led to at least wonder, if not conclude, that Angela was suffering from it as well.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't the stats clearly show that some of these mental conditions definitely tend to be inherited through ancestry? Is that something you are trying to dispute?

On psychosexual traits, aren't you opening an unintentional can of worms? What you are saying basically asserts that sexual preferences are always maleable and shifting, but then that also suggests that sexual preferences can be changed with targeted behavioral therapy, often used to turn gay people straight, or child lovers into normies. I see you tend to this later in your post, but I'm not so sure I follow the logic.

I happen to believe there's some truth to what you are saying. It wasn't so many generations ago, for example, that you see fat women being pedestaled and painted as sex goddesses, especially in times when wealth and food were in short supply for most people. I think there's a bigger chasm when it comes to being straight or gay or bi, but it might not be so off the mark. I just know that for myself, while behaviors or specific ages I like tend to change just a little over the years, my orientation toward females does not. Same goes for my own gender identity (I know it triggers some to dare assert such a thing). I have some serious trouble seeing the hour-to-hour fluidity thing as anything more than a politically encouraged destabilizing narcissism. Wearing pants in the morning and a dress in the afternoon based on how you feel male or female through the day will always look like mental illness to me, so let the chips fall where they may on that one. No hate from me, but no assimilation for me.

I believe we have some differences in terms of just letting everyone interact with one another however they please and not realizing how many problematic things arise from that, when so many people today seem utterly incapable of self-governing their own behavior so that it's not to the detriment of those around them, kids included.

This is why there seem to be ever more laws, security cameras, rules, and flaming retardation on the internet. Sometimes I think society's been intentionally dumbed down, but still.. Freedom must go hand in hand with a well-developed sense of responsibility and a personal code of ethics, yeah? We need only compare the state of things from 20 or 30 years ago to realize a whole helluva lot of people can no longer be expected and trusted to do the right and noble thing most of the time, on any front. There are many who sill do, but there are way many more today who do not. From my view, there's a lot more people today who are only looking out for number one (won't insert my cheeky Rodney Dangerfield joke here), and I don't believe that bodes well for the kids which we slightly more contemplative message board folk care so deeply about as much as the emotional and physical attraction we get demonized for.

It pains me to say it, because I know I would be responsible myself, as would many others who tend to read or post at this place, but I think kids today would fall victim to gangs, prostitution, be tricked or forced into porn, as well as otherwise just be forcibly manipulated into things they didn't want to do just for the pleasure of people who were only looking out for number one. Do I wish consensual sex were legal? Sure do. Do I wish for that legalization without figuring out those other issues first? Sad to say it. No.

I don't know why biology morphed into ethics, but perhaps they become so ever more closely related that someday my post will sound better organized?

Now let me go reconsider my being reluctantly pushed from progressive to libertarian via this "fauxgressive" idea.

Just a hunch.. maybe there's a 3-hour video I still need to watch. Hell, if I can do it for a Joe Rogan vid about space aliens, I can do it for a topic that actually pertains to me:p
