I do really like the potential for homeschooling - the fact that you should, pretty easily, go way beyond the level of education in school.

Yes! It's always been astonishing to me how much further along in their education that home-schooled girls seemed to be, and I've since learned that this is pretty standard due to the fact that home-schooling is generally more efficient. In other words, the kids aren't even working harder or longer. They just don't have the distractions and aren't being held back for the sake of the one kid that's having trouble learning the lesson.

Yeah.. can't even count how many times I memorized things for tests or exams, only to forget it all within days. I think I was lucky in terms of being taught critical thinking though. Or maybe that was a curse, because I accepted my feelings for girls as something honest and tender when everything was telling me it was scheming and violent. The path of denial would surely have been much easier.
