She is as far as I know the youngest real contender in the Games at least in skating. Yes, back when cuties were allowed.

Of course many other skaters have been young but I don't remember any younger one being so strong.

Back in the 1990s the USA also had Moceanu in gymnastics.

And while a different body type, obviously, those were the days when Hingis was obliterating youth records in tennis.
