It has become a political movement. Kids that want to explore the boundaries of gender are pushed into thinking this means their biological sex must change with that. Tom boys and fem boys are truly vanishing. I see it all the time in my field of work.

Research showing the shakiness and rarity of "trans" youth persisting into adulthood has been discarded. Most (typically studies show 60-90%) desist by adulthood. Gender affirming surgeries and hormone therapy/blockers for youth amount to assault by a professional (therapist/doctor/surgeon/etc.) imo

The irony is that it is pretty obviously a social contagion as well. Previously, most trans people were adult male to female. Suddenly, the most common (or soon to be) is adolescent female to male, which has increased like 400% (maybe even 800%) in the last five to ten years. People point to left handedness, but that was a much smaller percentage over decades.

I am also not a fan of the MAPs latching on to this because they think it will lead to adult/child relations being accepted. I'd rather continue suffering in silence than see children or youth suffer to attain such relationships.

The one silver lining is this, a white pill if you will: it shows that we have a chance. Meaning... if a large portion of society can be convinced to support the surgical removal of breasts or endocrine system ruining treatment of kids because these kids and their parents say so... then acceptance of us and the loving and pleasurable relationships we desire isn't impossible, far fucking from it.

I just do not want our acceptance to come from the mutilation of the girls and boys we love. No thanks.
