One of the issues I have with the community as family is in practicality they flee away when faced with real issues faster than napkins out in a tornado.

The movie if it was about community as family should have been more focused on the community going through hard times and staying together despite that. I probably would have liked that movie.

But, of course the movie is mostly focused on her sister. Who leaves to go to college. Which I don't think is a good message at this time. I'd rather see a movie teaching sticking together through thick and thin as a family. Not teaching to go off and you are more important than your family. Just not the greatest when teen girls are already flooded with that message.

I don't think it was a bad movie. I just don't think it's a good movie for this time. And I appreciate the original with the focus on family. Through the really hard times of what they could show for a kids movie.
