We know children can't consent with adults. They do not have the world experience, maturity, they don't understand the potential risks (which can be life threatening) and the power imbalance is too great. Since they can't consent. There is also the possibility of future regret if they become a different kind of person with different views and values. So when I used to say "provide a study where the children consent" I didn't realize it wasn't possible. Kids can't consent so it is always physical assault.
Any physical activity between an adult and child that involves pushing, hitting, tackling, dropping, throwing, etc. is assault. How can you think otherwise? KIDS CAN'T CONSENT! There is no consensual physical interaction. You only touch a child for the most necessary of reasons. Kids have experienced broken skin, bleeding, broken bones, bruised skin, concussions, even death as a result of physical assault. Let's not forget the mental trauma of being physically beaten by a parent or another adult. Being beat is traumatizing physically and mentally. When a kid grows up, they may become a very non-violent person. Any violence they took part in as a kid could be incredibly distressful for them. Kids who have been beaten grow up with many mental issues. You're sick for thinking a kid could consent to physical contact with an adult. Do you get it? I thought it was pretty clever, though something similar was probably done before. ![]() |
