Hi Devotion,

Your name seems to fit you very well as you seem to be very devoted to both your ideals and the LG you love. May that never change.

When I first became aware of my love and attraction for little girls, (around age 13) the internet was not yet invented. I didn't have the opportunity to simply go to a search engine and type in a few key words. It was as if I was all alone with these feelings that I neither wanted (I wanted to be normal, just like every other kid) nor understood. So, for me, the only two choices I had were to either become active, (which I knew was wrong) or live within my self in a virtual fantasy world.

I remember being in love (perhaps in retrospect, I was really only very strongly attracted) with a 7 year old girl. I would take every opportunity to visit her father to watch ball games on tv. C. was always there and my heart would melt.

At night I would lie in my bed dreaming of her and of being the youngest married couple in the world. In my dreams, the world would accept us and even allow us to share the same bed. I would hug my pillow and pretend.....Pretend by night, face the reality and futility of the situation by day.

To make a long story short, I have grown a lot since those early years. I have had the opportunity to be around many children of various ages and with a multitude of personalities. Like you, I have never had a sexual experience with any of them and, unless Hell freezes over soon, will not.

Still, I am happy with who I am. I have tried to make the most of my orientation by doing positive things for the children with whom I come into contact. Child Lovers have a duty to remember the words contained in the hippocratic oath: "First, do no harm." Then, we must extend that to include: "Put the needs of the child first, the dictates of society last, and take your pleasure and satisfaction from both the good you do for the children and the love they give you in return." Despite what the rest of the world thinks, we can have self-respect and live ethical lives.
