I spent an hour with an angel (GM)

Awesome.

I'm in tears now - it was so wonderful.

While walking around my neighborhood this afternoon, I met up with a 7 yo blond who I've posted about before but had not seen much this summer.

I had just asked God to provide a young friend because it has been so long since I've had one. Two seconds later, she came rollerblading around the corner. That's an answer to prayer if I've ever seen one. LOL

She was rollerblading for the first time and was having trouble. Her mom came out a short time later and the girl asked if she could go around the neighborhood with me! And the mom said "Yes"!

We went everywhere for an hour. I got to help her learn to rollerblade and she fell a few times and crashed into me a few times. She had me feel her "muscles" and I spent a few moments counting the freckles on her face just after I bought her a soda.

She said once "I don't really have a dad" and it broke my heart. He also spanked her once, she said, and I wanted to hurt the bastard. She said he had a baby with his new wife (in perfect 7 yo style - "the baby was in her tummy, then it just appeared") to avoid having to take care of her. That could be what her mom said though.

She invited me to her birthday party later this year, and to dinner tonight without asking her mom first. I danced around it and let her mom off the hook, but the mom said she would have me over sometime soon. the mom said her daughter stayed out "way too late." The girl probably was using me to avoid doing homework, but I'll gladly be a daily diversion for her. LOL

Ahhhhhhhh. I'm crying again. I also told her that she and/or her mom are welcome anytime at my place, and she now knows where I live. :c) So I'm hoping for more visits soon. I wish I wasn't scheduled for work the next few days. Damn.
