GM: Midnight Visit.

Okay, this one is a little weird. Well, I don't know, maybe not. I don't know, weird from my perspective, don't know how it'll read.

Around 11:45 tonight the door knocked, I answered, and there was this neighbor girl of mine, nine~years~old.

Basically she told me her aunt was babysitting her. Her aunt got all drunk, started acting obnoxious, so the girl wanted to go somewhere else. I'm one of the few ppl awake this time of night. LOL. Lucky me, I guess.

She asked if she could stay with me until her mom got home from work(not sure where dad was, but who cares really?). Of course, I wouldn't have minded at all. :) But, y'know, common sense...I walked her back home.

She was right; her aunt was drinking and being very annoying. Common sense again...I told her to call her mom at work and tell her what was up and what should she/we do about it. I mean, I didn't feel comfortable just leaving her there. So she called her mom, explained what was going on, and mom wanted to talk to me. "Can you stay there until I get home?" she asked me. I was hoping she'd let her stay w/me, at my house, but I agreed to stay there with her and her drunk aunt. Better than nothing, and mom didn't like the idea of her being there alone w/the drunk anymore than I did.

It wasn't really that bad. Her aunt pretty much left us alone while we sat in the kitchen and talked. About an hour and a half or so.

Then mom came home, aunt asleep by then, she thanked me, and I went home. :)

But I can't help but to wonder how mom would've reacted if I had just let the girl hang with me in the first place? There's no way of knowing, but at least it all turned out okay. :)
