Girl Starts Conversation With Me (GM)

I was sitting on the bus this afternoon on my way home from Walmart.

There was a Hispanic woman in the seat in front of me with a young girl with long hair 2/3 of the way down her back.

She was cute, but below my AoA. I had a lot on my mind and wasn't really paying much attention to her.

I noticed her occasionally look back my way and I would catch her eyes with mine, smile and then she would go back to doing whatever she was doing.

Twenty minutes into the ride, I noticed she looked back at me with a huge grin.

I wasn't sure what was up, but I smiled back and winked.

She turned back around.

She did this several times before she finally got up and turned completely around and sat on her knees in the seat facing me and started up a conversation.

She thought I was teasing her by looking at her reflection in the glass window.

She started asking me al these cute questions --- my name --- how old I was --- I also asked her --- her name was Caralina and she was 7 years old --- we talked about our families --- she asked me if I knew any Spanish and I said I did and she asked me if I knew what certain words were in Spanish --- when I told her, she would smile happily and then when there was one I didn't know, she would tell me.

Sometimes her mom would smile and laugh at some of the teasing I would do with her.

Eventually, I came to my stop and had to leave.

Wow ! It's rare a kid starts a conversation with me.

It sure was a nice way to end a stressful day.
