ive noticed that hispanic kids are open and friendly,even when they have recently moved and dont know much english. it might be a cultural thing.
i have been in the public many times where young spanish kids will talk to me or try to get my attention. the fathers act more harshly when they see this than the mothers do. the mothers usually just smile and keep an eye on their kids. the fathers almost always yell at the kid in spanish(some kind of scolding i guess)and often give you the evil eye,especially if the kid is a girl. many traditional spanish men view their women and kids as personal property. ive heard alot of them beat their wives too,but i dont know how much of that is true. the women seem alot more friendly towards strangers than the men do...
