Your points are exactly why I said publication may need to wait a generation after you die - so that no then-living person would be hurt by it.

If 100 years after your childhood isn't enough, maybe 125 or 150 is.

In either case, future generations would benefit from an accurate history of what happened, especially the fact that it didn't ruin you for life.

As a side-effect, the mere act of getting your story on paper may help you get through whatever else you have to get through.
