Yeah, I came across the theory. It makes sense up to a point. Perhaps moreso with pedophiles. I think ephebophile/hebephiles like myself are simply attracted to a youthful look and perspective. As in, youthful features, but not the... unformed youthfulness babies have, which is generally pretty repulsive to think of in any romantic sense (sorry infantophiles, I still love ya, lol).

As in the skeletal structure has solidified and the head is not very very large with little hair, and the 'soft spot' freaks me out. Honestly, who wants to touch a head whose skull has a huge gap in it? I wouldn't mind a little bit, as I realize it's necessary for growth, but yipes, you can see the brain moooving and it's creepy.

I suppose in epheb/heb aspect there is like, the merging of youthful and adult sexual characteristics which is often very erratic and appealing.
