I suppose the kind of internal conflict I was thinking about could be exemplified by wanting to cuddle a crying little girl to make her feel better but worrying that, on some level, I might enjoy it in the "wrong" way - not that I've ever let it stop me comforting a child who needed a hug!

I talked to my friend's mum about the other girl a bit - she is worried about her too but is at a bit of a loss to know what to do as it's apparently very difficult to get her to talk about anything atall.

I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else.

Oh and yes, fairies are great! (except those evil ones in Torchwood!) ;-)
