All they had to do was play a fun game at the age of about 8, and the state pays them a million dollars! Awesome!

Sure, it's hard on everyone else - on the taxpayers who have to pay the money to girls who have obviously not been harmed (at least, until the agents of the taxpayers intervened), and the taxpayers who have to pay to put someone in jail for virtually all of the productive period of their life, and it's hard on the guy who will be in jail, and it will be hard on everyone when the multitude of ludicrous judgements like this across American society lead to the collapse of the American economy, as everyone competes to figure out who can do the most insane thing in the race to the bottom and the looting and sacking of the United States. And, sure, it will be hard on everyone when this sort of nonsense ends up in civil war and the destruction of the United States and its people. But that's all in the future - possibly a decade or more away.

As long as everyone feels they're winning now, who cares about the future, and who gives a damn about the legacy they are leaving to their children? After all, we've got to do this for the children - or at least, for the "adults" who are acting like spoiled brats.
