I understand how you feel. I have only been aware at the highest level of my attraction for 2 years, and it takes a lot of social confidence to be able to interact with children in public. At least for me I have had false accusations made against me, not serious ones, but enough to insinuate that I was acting unprofessionally, and maybe almost ruin my rep. At least I could see that coming.

It was said I was seen "holding hands" with a young girl, who is not related to me. Yeah, I was, but we weren't skipping down the street.
Anyways, it can be draining to have to keep worrying about your rep, when you just want to be natural. Like Catcher has said about his discomforting paranoia that others are aware of his attraction. I know well how he feels since, while they usually don't, enough times in my last 2 years, they in fact have figured things out, and that can fucking scary.
