GM at my Family Reunion

Last night was my family reunion, it went good, got to talk with a bunch of different people that I normally don't see that much. This part, however is about a GM I had with a little girl around age 5-6, I would say. This GM happened at the mid-point, but lasted throughout the night, I'll add more about that in a sec. When we first arrived, we had to unload the car after that I went outside where the lake and BBQ was, as well as all the children. So on to my GM, after a bit of socializing I went outside for a awhile, there were lots of kids playing games and running around, it was great! I think this is the first time that I went as a CL, by that I just mean that I didn't really G-watch (Girl-watch, in case you couldn't guess it) that much. I only just recently got comfortable enough to be able to interact with children in very public/crowded places, maybe I'll make a new post that describes this a bit better. Not that I mean I am not around children, but just that I sometimes need real-life support. No worries if you don't know what I mean, I tend to just type random at times. Back to my GM. I did a bit of G-watching while all the kids were running around/playing games, after a bit I saw that somebody had brought their dog and had him tied to a tree. I was happy to see the dog had water (as it was hot out) and food, otherwise I would've said something. I went over to pat him and play with him a bit, this lasted for a few mins, then this little girl came up and asked me if it would be ok if she could pat the dog too. I said sure (with a big smile on my face), I also said to just be careful as he likes to play-bite. As I didn't want her to become frightened if something were to happen. For that reason, I went before her to kinda try and calm the dog down before she patted him. In the mix, she accidentally tipped over both the dog's food and water, so she then began to pick up the food in the grass, I helped, we got all of it back onto the plate. I could tell she was happy we did that, and also that I helped. Next it was time to get some more water filled up, but I didn't want her to pat the dog while I was away, and she could tell this. So she said I'll wait here for you (on a picnic table) to get back and then I'll pat him again. Before I went to get some water, I asked her what her name was (we were all wearing name tags, but just thought I'd ask anyway) she told me her name was Kaylee, I replied with Hello, Kaylee I'm FTGL. As I said my name, I gave my hand to her for a little handshake, she gave me me hers. I was very happy right then and there.

This next bit is still from the same one but about her mom and what she said to me. Well, when I returned her mom was there with her and asked why she was just sitting there alone. And then the mom wanted her to go with her but the mom told me that she said no to her, when the mom asked why, Kaylee told her she was waiting for someone (me!). After the mom and me talked for a few mins, she thanked me for keeping a close eye on her (what SHE doesn't know! LOL). I said no problem, and that was it.

But all throughout the night, I was keep getting smiles and waves from Kaylee. Made the day, even more better!
