I consider myself fortunate. I never went through the self-loathing thing.

My folks did their best to be liberal and open-minded in their own f**ked-up neurotic way. In short all the sex-positive info was at hand even if it appears that their own sex-lives pretty much ended at my conception. They wanted their sons to be free of the puritanical upbringing which had messed them over.

I also came of age sexually just at the onset of the Pedo-hysteria. So most of my outlook was shaped pre-Ed Meese era. And I was taught that bigotry towards minorities was always wrong. So while I grew up in a largely Christian community my closest friends were always Jewish ( It just turned out that way.)

And while I didn't know anyone who was Gay at the time ( or at least out,) I was taught to accept sexual minorities.

I also remember doing the typical 13 year old boy thing and looking up everything sexual in every reference book I could lay my hands on. I remember the People's Almanac and the Book of Lists had a lot of info that was rather open-minded about Pedophilia.

I particularly remember the list of famous Peds including Lewis Carroll, Dante Alighieri, Baden-Powell, Ruskin and many others whose contributions to Western Civ are irreplaceable.

It was a while as my sexuality developed before I was able to really take it all in. But my interest in younger girls has been there in the same way as my interest in adult women. Both the Playboy Playmate ( *sigh* Devin DeVasquez ) and the girl's underwear models in the department store catalogs were my eye-candy.

I see nothing nightmarish about that. And if someone could switch-off the Pedophilia and leave me only as a Hetero-telio, then I'd feel like something had been amputated.

I don't feel superior to the Straights. But I don't feel inferior either. It just is what it is. And I appreciate seeing something else in the beauty of this world.
