In case you hadn't noticed, most higher education has become a racket - a frivolity that has become too expensive in terms of both money and opportunity costs. At least half of those in American colleges don't really need to be there, and the colleges themselves are likely to limit intellectual development.

Also, "preservatives" is not a synonym for prophylactics (birth control) in English. False cognate.
