"Corporatist" refers to people who favor power in the hands of private corporations - not merely people who acknowledge the useful role private corporations can play or those who support private enterprise, but those who support systems of privilege for well-connected businessmen and companies.

"Statist" refers to people who exalt the power of the State over the individual - e.g., Democrats and Republicans. What they want to the State to force people to do is not so important as that they believe forcing the people to do the will of the well-connected is a proper function of government.

Both terms are used primarily by libertarians, and both accurately describe Obama's political principle of privileges for the well-connected.
