Even admitting we are much more complex [which only leads back to Dante's initial question - why is this complexity only considered an argument when sex is involved?], a Problem of the Other appears: how can you seize for yourself the authority to decide for others? The very existence of complexity would call for the decision to be devolved to the lowest level possible, which would be, again, the people directly involved in the actions: "You don't know me." Complexity is an argument for agency, not against it.
