What the, I wasn't even trying (GM)

Sitting in the movie house waiting out the pre-show trailers.
The lights are still up, and there's a little girl maybe seven years old running up and down the aisle

On her third lap past my seat, our eyes meet.
She makes a funny face at me.
I make a funny face back.
"Hello, what's your name?" she asks.
And just like that, we're friends.

How did that happen, I wasn't even trying...
(To be someone a child can befriend, and talk to without fear -
What a strange and wonderful gift it is. I will always be grateful)

She sits on my armrest and we chat until the movie starts.
Her parents are sitting across the aisle and don't mind at all

Afterwards:
"Well, did you like it?"
"Yes, it was awesome!"
But sadly, I must disagree -- the new Transformers movie is bad, don't watch it
